Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans; please cloud the changes or additions. It is preferred that only the affected plan sheets be resubmitted: 1. Please provide a section for Fire Marshal Notes consisting of the following: a. Emergency Responder Radio System evaluation required to determine the b. Fire Extinguishers to be provided in accordance with IFC Table 906.3(1). c. If site access gate(s) cross a fire access road they must comply with the Fire Department Emergency Access Standard. d. Provide guard post where hydrants, tanks, generators, gas meters are subject to vehicle impact. IFC Section 312. e. Provide fire protection and utility identification (signs) and access. IFC Section 509. f. If an onsite generator is proposed it must comply with IFC Section 604. g. The fire alarm control panel shall be located in the fire riser room. h. Provide Knox Boxes: 1) at fire riser room, 2) at main entrance. Additional as required. Order at www.Knoxbox.com. i. Provide signage for weight limit of ramp to upper level parking. j. The following IFC Chapters or sections may apply: 24 flammable finishes, 35 welding and hot work, 50 - hazardous materials, 53 compressed gases, and 57 flammable and combustible liquids. K. Call out separate permits: Automatic fire sprinkler system, fire alarm system, Emergency Responder Radio System (if required after evaluation). 3. I am requesting you provide a dry standpipe for firefighting operations on the 2 floor parking area, possibly in the mechanical covered area (center). The estimated hose distance up the ramp and to the furthest parking area is greater than 200. A single fire department connection for this dry standpipe could be located on the west side of the building near a fire hydrant.
