During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts referred to in these comments can be accessed at
our website: www.edmondswa.gov/under City Government / Development Services Department /
Engineering Division then scroll down to Handouts:
1)Please add a note: Erosion control shall be provided to City of Edmonds standards.
2)Please add a note: Filter socks will be placed in catch basins within project vicinity as needed per
Edmonds Standard Detail E1.3.
3)Please note: Any work pertaining to utility removal and/or relocating may require a separate permit.
Please add a note:All disturbed soils will be compost amended.

Please add note: Stock piles shall be covered if not worked within 2 days wet season or 2 weeks dry

season.
Please show the location where the silt fence is to be placed per E1.1.

Please show protection fencing at the drip line of the treesnear the project site that are to remain.

parking space #3. To help clarify where the parking space will be located please make sure to provide
the exact location of the utilitypole and the existing tree as requested below.Pleaseshow and provide
the following for the proposed parking space #3.
a). Showonthe site plan the exact location (proposed parking should be on private property) and size of
the proposed parking spaceand placement of hard surface materials.
b). C
all out the proposed hard surface materials.Asphalt will only be allowed within the right of way.
c).There shall be 3’ minimum separation of the proposed parking and the utility pole. Vegetation/plants
shall separate the pole and the proposedparking.
Please show trees to be removed throughout the site.Will the tree near the proposed parking space need

Show the utility pole within the right of way near the proposed parking location, providing dimensions

from the property line to the south and from the right of way.
Please show the location of the paved street in relation to the right of way/property line.

12)The proposed trash enclosure shall notcreate a site distance issue for the proposed parking space.The
trash enclosure shall be on private property and shall not exceed 3’ in height within 10’ of the right of
way.
13)Gutters, downspouts and splashblocks are required, please provide on the site plan where downspouts
will be placed.

Due to site location, a side sewer permit will need to be obtained from Olympic View Water & Sewer
District (OVWSD) for the installation and inspections of the side sewer line.
15)Elevations for theproposed side sewer for the ADU need to be shown on the plans. Elevations where the
proposed side sewer meetsthe existing side sewer for the homewill need to be shown.Side sewer
minimum coverage is 2’.
16)A Right of Way Permit will be required for the use of the right of way.Attached is a right of way permit
application.
a).Please provide a traffic control plan with the Right of Way permit application.
