Hi Jim,
I'm reviewing this permit for Planning and had a few corrections:
1) Square footage. You showed the tenant frontage to be 25' wide — that would give the tenant 25 sf of signage. The
two proposed signs total 30 sf. A 4 sf projecting sign, rather than the 5 sf version shown, would not count against the
total allowed area (ECDC 20.60.025.A.3).
2) Illuminated sign. How does the internal illumination work for this one? Boxed cabinet signs are not permitted in the
Downtown area (ECDC 20.60.020.M). Internally illuminated signs in the Downtown area must also meet the conditions
in ECDC 20.60.020.N. Halo lit signs are not considered to be internally illuminated and could be an option for this
situation.
Please submit two copies of the updated plans to a Permit Coordinator.
