Your plumbing contractor, Olympic Hills Plumbing, has submitted a request for Alternate Materials and
Methods of Construction Equivalency per UPC 301.2 for installation of an air admittance valve (model 20300
Studor Mini Vent) at six locations in your new multi -family building located at 316 Walnut Street due to
structural issues encountered. The locations are as follows:
• Unit 102 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
• Unit 103 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
• Unit 201 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
® Unit 202 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
• Unit 301 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
• Unit 302 at the kitchen sink with adjacent dishwasher
As owner of the building, you have approved the use of the air admittance valves in your building as requested
by your plumbing contractor, understand they are not an approved conventional method of venting in the State
adopted Uniform Plumbing Code, and understand the maintenance requirements of the air admittance valve.
The request to use air admittance valves at the locations specified above is hereby approved with the noted
conditions below.
Install per manufacturer's specifications
The plumbing contractor must provide you with written directions as to how to inspect and maintain the
air admittance valve. These directions shall be provided to all future property owners.
