RE: Request For Alternate Design @ 9803 Edmonds Way for PCC Natural Markets

Dear Mr. Ostrow,
The City is in receipt of your request for alternate design dated April 10, 2007 on behalf of PCC
Natural Markets. The Request needs to be altered and supplemented with the following:
• The Request for Alternate Design (herein referenced as `Request') must be Stamped by a
State of Washington Licensed Architect or Engineer
• The Request shall reference the Reciprocal Parking Agreement and explain the relevance
to the Request
• The `Legal Contract' establishing the `yard' must be provided for City review and
approval with the Request
• The Legal Contract must be referenced and explained/described and explain the
relevance in the Request
• The Request describes the yard using North, South, East and West designations however
there is no North arrow on the survey for reference, add the North arrow
• A copy of the entire/full stamped survey (the survey that the reduced copy submitted with
the Request was made from) shall be supplemented with the Request, legal descriptions
shall be included
• The Request shall include a description of the yard use, continued use and maintenance
as described in the `Legal Contract'
• Because the IBC yard definition states `an open space... unobstructed from the ground to
the sky,' indicate what existing obstacles/features/improvements (i.e., lighting, parking
spaces, utility vaults, pole signs, etc.) may be within the yard area that will be relocated in
order to be compliant with the yard definition of open and unobstructed
