Subject:Jacobsen"s Marine Landscape Plan Revision (BLD20131338)
Date:Friday, November 21, 2014 4:40:33 PM
Hi Steve,
I am reviewing the revised landscape plan that you submitted for Jacobsen’s Marine (BLD20131338)
and have a couple of quick questions for you:
-The code (ECDC 20.13.030.D) requires groundcover in all Type IV landscape beds, so
groundcover consistent with the minimum size and spacing requirements of ECDC
20.13.015.E must be provided in all of the landscape beds adjacent to Admiral Way. Your
plan indicates beach strawberry groundcover in 4” pots planted at 18” on center within the
landscape bed adjacent to the building. Would you like to do this within the other landscape
beds adjacent to Admiral Way, or do you have a proposal for a different groundcover within
those landscape beds?
-Your plans indicate a bowhall maple tree to be planted within the landscape bed at the
southwestern corner of the site adjacent to the PUD vault. I had been told that PUD would
not allow the installation of a tree too close to the vault. Can you please confirm that you
will be able to plant the proposed bowhall maple tree in this location (a tree was not
installed there when I conducted my inspection).
Please respond at your earliest convenience so that I can complete my review of the revision. Feel
free to contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Jen
