Storm Crossing Trench Fill Evaluation We arrived onsite and observed that the contractor has used onsite dark gray -brown silty sand with gravel to backfill the majority of the trench up to 1.5 -feet below grade. The fill material appears near optimum moisture content and is firm and unyielding under foot and onsite equipment. We performed 2 nuclear density tests at the elevations and locations indicated in the attached Soils Compaction Report (SCR). Results are both above the 95% MDD specification for structural fill.
