Please provide the following additional information at your convenience to support your case:
1.Land Use Application
:
The Snohomish County Assessor’s office indicates that Birgitt is
also a property owner. Would it be convenient for her to come down and sign the Land Use
Application form as well? If so, we are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from
8:00-4:30 pm and she is welcome to drop in at any time.
2.Critical Areas:
Have you already had any special studies conducted to asses the proposed
deck’s impact on the critical areas on site (a geotechnical report, a soils report, a biologist’s
report, etc.)? If so, it would be helpful if you provided them for both staff and the Hearing
Examiner to review.
3.Site Plan:
The site plan submitted is not to scale. Please submit a to-scale site plan so that
measurements can be confirmed. Please also provide all dimensions on the existing site plan
that you have submitted. It looks like the deck is projecting 4 feet into the required 10 foot
side setback – are you requesting a 5-foot setback variance or a 6-foot setback variance?
Your criteria statement indicates that you would like a 5-foot setback. Please clarify. Please
be sure to submit a site plan that shows the entire extent of the property (show all property
lines, not just a portion of the property).
4.Deck:
On the site plan, please confirm the area of the deck that you would like to project into
the setback (4’x31’)? Is the total deck area 14.5’x10’? What is the height of the deck, above
grade? What is the height of the railing? Do you have a detail of the deck’s construction
available? Is the rail all the way around?
