CompleteLetter.doc March 5, 2007 Shahrzad Siami & Manijeh Fahim Talebinia 8830 Main Street Edmonds WA 98026 SUBJECT: COMPLETE APPLICATION AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REQUESTED. Dear Applicant, Your application for conditional use permit to allow a Home Occupation for a hair salon at 8830 Main Street in the COMPLETE Residential Single-Family (RS-8) zone has been determined to be , however additional information is requested before a hearing can be scheduled. 1. Prior to your hearing, we will need to post a “Notice of Proposed Land Use Action” sign on your property. The sign company charges us $150 for this, and we forgot to collect this fee from you when you applied. Please pay $150 (cash/credit/check) at your earliest convenience. If it is too much trouble to get down to City Hall during regular business hours (9-12 and 1-4) then you could send a check in the mail payable to the “City of Edmonds” to the following address and I would be happy to send you a receipt: City of Edmonds, Planning Division, 121 th 5 Avenue North, Edmonds, WA 98020 (RE: CU-2007-3 / Attention: Gina Coccia). 2. How many customers do you think you will have each day? What are your intended hours of operation? These are questions that neighbors may have, so if you could provide this information in writing I could incorporate it into the staff report. Also, the Engineering Division had asked how many customers you intend to have each day (average and maximum numbers) so that they can calculate the number of trips per day – a Traffic Impact Fee may be required with your building permit. 3. The Engineering Division (Jaime Hawkins: 425.771.0220, extension 1714) reviewed your proposal and had some questions about access and parking. Because a portion of your garage is proposed to be devoted to the salon, and because the minimum number of off-street parking spaces is two per single family dwelling unit, we just need to see that you still have two 8.5’x16’ parking spaces on site (is there one space in the garage and one somewhere else on site – where is the other space – north or east of the garage – and is it 8.5’x16’?). Please verify the parking on your site plan (you can redline your existing plans if you wish). 4. The work to complete the salon will likely require a building permit – Please contact a Permit Coordinator at 425.771.0220 to find out more information about residential remodel, plumbing, and electrical permits. Once the City receives a response from you regarding the above items, we will continue with review of the application and schedule your project for a public hearing. If you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 425.771.0220, extension 1778. Thank you for your interest in development in the City of Edmonds – I look forward to working with you on this project. Sincerely, Gina Coccia, Planner CC: File CU-2007-3 File Path: C:\\Users\\cockrum\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\CompleteLetter.doc_153340\\CompleteLetter.doc
