Variance application by Lowell Chase for the reduction of the minimum 25-foot street th setback along 200 Street SW to 12.5 feet due to the construction of a carport/storage Action: structure that did not first obtain building permit approval. The site is located at 7915 th 200 Street SW in the Single-Family Residential (RS-8) zone. File Number: V-2006-139 Date of Meeting: January 4, 2007 Time of Meeting: 3:00 PM (or as soon thereafter as possible) Council Chambers Place: Public Safety Complex th 250 5 Avenue North Hearing Body: Hearing Examiner Although your application is “complete,” I still need to collect some information for review. Your land use application states that this application is for “elevated storage sheds to be used as a carport,” however you do not mention the distance you are requesting relief from. As you are aware, the minimum street setback is 25 feet and setbacks are measured from the property line. How far from the south property line is the existing carport? Please provide me with this information in writing as soon as possible so I can continue to process your application. Page 1 of 8 shows the distance from the “white line” to the SE corner of the shed is 20 feet. It also shows that the distance from the white line to the telephone pole is 7.5 feet. I will assume that the distance from the carport to the property line is 12.5 feet unless I hear otherwise. If this is not correct, please provide me with the actual distance as soon as possible. Thank you. C:\\Users\\cockrum\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\CompleteLetter.doc_153966\\CompleteLetter.doc Please be aware that your presence at the hearing is highly advisable.
