Project: Pruett Accessory Dwelling Unit
A preliminary review was done with the conditional use materials provided and we have the following
comments.
1.Due to the nonconformity of the existing structure (encroachment within the minimum property
line setbacks), modifications to the existing structure will need to meet the provisions of ECDC
17.40.020F for partial demolition and restoration.
2.A recent Washington state amendment to the International Residential Code allows for an
accessory dwelling unit to occur within a primary dwelling unit without a fire separation, as
previously required. All other building code provisions will still be required, as applicable.
