RE: Review comments for required trash enclosure
BLD20151437 — Copper Pot Restaurant, 102 Main Street, Edmonds WA
The proposed location/staging of the trash containers in the area next to the rear door of the
restaurant cannot be safely serviced by the garbage company. Containers must be wheeled to
and from the service trucks and the excessive slope of the driveway does not allow this.
Also this location is too tight for proper maneuvering of the containers for rolling. The
containers must be located back onto the level concrete section at the top of the driveway and
enclosed by fencing minimum 6 foot in height. Then the rear -load type trucks can back up the
driveway to service safely.
The fence section off of the rear door (that was starting to be built) can serve as the front of the
enclosure. This fence will need a gated access that is to be 10 foot clear minimum. The current
opening is much too small.
Another fence section needs to be placed behind the containers to separate that space from the
proposed outdoor dining area. The depth behind the gate needs to be 8 foot minimum.
