Dear Proprietor,
The City received a complaint regarding the freestanding temporary signs at your premises.
Please find enclosed a copy of the Edmonds sign code pertaining to On-Premises Temporary
Signs. The sections that would relate to temporary signage at your premises/zone are highlighted.
The code allows a total maximum of 20 square feet of temporary signage (attached and
freestanding) and because of the 2 street frontages, allows for 2 freestanding temporary signs for
a maximum duration of display of 60 days in any calendar year. The 2 individual freestanding
temporary signs can be a maximum of 6 square feet each.
It appears the Corner Coffee Café exceeds the total square footage of temporary signage, the total
number of freestanding signs, the square footage of individual signs and possibly the duration of
display. Please review your current signage and modify it accordingly to meet the enclosed sign
code.
