JoAnne.....no problem....but I am also unsure if it would meet the standards, so let me know what Jennifer
thinks....it is the material that is used for the filter fabric fence that we put around the excavation.....as to
the soil cover, I intend on getting bark to put on the exposed dirt around the site.....as to the pavement at
the SW corner, the asphalt was cut out by our excavator/underground guy, and it looks like he filled it all
in with the crushed rock, which appears to be running down with the surface drainage towards the CB.
We intend to "fix" that area when we finally have the alley paved, but due to lack of finances, it is not
something that will be paved soon. The filter sock on the CB will help for a time, but do you believe that
we need to quickly pour some asphalt at that location.....if so then I will see what can be done, but it might
take longer than this week to repair.....I will also sweep the alley from the dirt that has collected from our
site.....Your thoughts on all of this....? Thanks Ron

RE: Correction Notice, Open Bible Church, 656 Daley Street
Ron,
Sorry I did not notice that there was not an insert cloth in the drain. I only saw the erosion from the lot
corner and I did not look closely at the CB. My error. Just in case, I'm not sure exactly what you installed
but we do require sock filters to provide adequate protection for CBs. Today's inspector, Jennifer, will
stop by this morning to take a look and I will email you if she has any further comments.
Thank you, and again, sorry that I missed the CB cloth.

Hi there....at 1:00 yesterday Monday, I put at the CB an insert cloth over the drain and under the grate at
the SW corner of the parking lot....it was still in place last night at 5:30pm when I double checked it......as
to the additional items on this recent email, I will address these immediately.....I am concerned about your
comment that nothing was done....please see the cloth at the CB...if you do not agree with this
installation, please let me know right away.....Ron

RE: Correction Notice, Open Bible Church, 656 Daley Street
Ron,
I went out to inspect the work done in response to Ed's 5/8/09 correction notice and it doesn't appear that
anything has been done at this point. To clarify his correction notice, there is erosion under the
southwest corner of the parking lot. Besides the fact that the silt and debris is draining directly into the cb
in the alley, the parking lot asphalt will fail if this is not addressed.
When at the site yesterday, I also noted that the alley is covered with dirt from the work being done on
this property. We require that unworked soils be covered within two days. The site needs to have some
kind of erosion control cover on the lot, straw, bark, hydroseed that will help keep the silt, dirt and debris
on the site and not blowing and draining into the public storm system, other property, and being tracked
onto the public alley and street.
Please have you contractor address the issue presented in the 5/8/09 correction notice, sweep the alley,
and cover the unworked soil on the site.
I will put the property on the inspection list for Thursday afternoon to give them time to get this
accomplished.
Thank you.
