Shaw Lane Final Inspection-December 15, 2014
The following list of corrections must be addressed prior to the Engineering
Division acceptance of the plat construction. Please schedule a re-inspection
once all corrections have been addressed.
1. It was observed that large trenches had been dug to alleviate flooding to
the neighboring properties to the east. Please provide a plan showing a
permanent method to address this issue.
2. Runoff from the private road appears to puddle at the northeast corner of
the turnaround. All road run off shall be directed to the storm vault per
plan.
3. Rockery drain shall be capped at southeast end.
4. Please make sure all footing drain and roof drain stub outs are marked as
specifically; not just “stormwater”.
5. Footing drain cleanout south of detention vault manholes has been
broken and a larger pvc sleeve slipped over it. Provide correct size lid or
repair broken pipe as needed.
6. Provide a final report from your special inspector indicating operational
verification of the stormwater management vault.
7. Private fence at south end of west property line is damaged. Please
confirm the damage was not a result of the plat development or repair
accordingly.
8. Install mailboxes per plan.
9. Install street address sign.
10. Asphalt ramps were not installed per plan. Please review details on Plan
Sheet C11 and reconstruct ramps as needed. Areas adjacent to asphalt
ramps shall be properly sloped to match existing grades and not exceed
2:1 slope.
Final site restoration shall be completed. This includes restoration of that
11.
portion of lot one where the detention vault has been installed, area to the
west of the rockery wall, and frontage area behind sidewalk.

13. Due to temporary erosion control socks in the catch basins, it was not
possible to determine if final cleaning by pump/vactor had been
performed on the storm system and vault. Please provide documentation
that this cleaning has been performed and remove catch basin socks
temporarily on the day of re-inspection for verification.
14. Due to the socks, it was also not possible to verify that mudding of risers,
frame to risers was complete. Inspection will be performed on day of re-
inspection.
