Property Owner Cell TownsNerizon Wireless 22618 Highway 99, Suite 104 Edmonds, WA 98026 Design Review Process Applicant Ad One Corp. 1626 S. 341St Place, #A24 Federal Way, WA 98003 Design review for signs is considered a Type I decision subject to the requirements of ECDC 20.01.003 and ECDC 20.60 (Sign Code). Analysis: 1. Location. The project site is located at 22618 Highway 99 within the CG2 zone. The site is located within the Medical/Highway 99 Activity Center and is designated as Highway 99 Corridor in the Edmonds Comprehensive Plan. The Boo Han Plaza was the subject of a sign package in 2000 (ADB -2000-07) where specific requirements were identified for future signs at the site. 2. Sign type. The proposed non -illuminated wall sign is a permitted sign type in the SR -99 area as well as in the applicable sign package. The signage consists of individual letters, a logo, and a board made of vinyl - covered 1” Gator foam that will be mounted on the facade. 3. Size. Wall signs. The wall where the proposed sign is to be located is 20 feet wide and the sign itself measures 19.76 feet; the proposed sign complies with the square footage requirement for wall signs. 4. Color. Signage is black and white with red accents and red logo. This color combination meets the intent of the approved sign package for the site. 5. Height. Wall signs may be a maximum of 14' high or the height of the face of the building. In this case, the top of the sign will be less than the height of the face of the building at approximately 15 feet. Decision: Based on the facts and conclusions of this report, staff finds that the design review for this project (File No. BLD -2009-0284) is APPROVED. I have reviewed the application for compliance with the Edmonds Community Development Code. Mike Clugston, PI-dnning Division Date Appeals: Design review decisions by staff are only appealable to the extent that the applicable building permit or development approval is an appealable decision under the provisions of the ECDC.
