Property Owner Tracy Aspen 11400 SE 8`h St. #210 Bellevue, WA 98004 Applicant Seattle Signs 2601 NE 12" St. Renton, WA 98056 Design Review Process Design review for signs is considered a Type I decision subject to the requirements of ECDC 20.01.003 and ECDC 20.60 (Sign Code). Analysis: 1. Location. The project site is located at 23632 Highway 99 within the CG zone. The site is designated as Highway 99 Corridor in the Edmonds Comprehensive Plan. 2. Sign type. The proposed interior illuminated wall sign is a permitted sign type in the SR -99 area. 3. Size. Individual wall signs are allowed 1 square foot per lineal foot of attached wall in the CG zone. The wall where the proposed sign is to be located is 19 feet long and the sign and logo measure 18.5 square feet; the proposed sign complies with the square footage requirement for wall signs. 4. Color. The proposed sign letters are red and will be lit with LEDs. The associated logo is blue with white lettering and will also be LED -lit. 5. Height. Wall signs may be a maximum of 14' high or the height of the face of the building. In this case, the top of the sign will be less than the height of the face of the building at approximately 15 feet. Decision: Based on the facts and conclusions of this report, staff finds that the design review for this project (File No. BLD -2009-0493) is APPROVED.
