Westfall 425.771.0213 th Subject:DRC2014-002 Short Subdivision 23402 75 Ave W This Review is conducted in accordance with 2012 IFC and Edmonds Community Development Code. Fire Services provide the following comments: 1. Existing fire hydrants meet spacing requirements. ECDC 19.25.055 C. 2. For construction: a residential fire sprinkler systems will be required when dwelling living space (fire area) exceeds 3,000 s.f., including covered porches and patios over 4’ wide. A flow-through design is recommended. ECDC 19.05.020 C. 3. When a sprinkler is required, provide minimum combination water-service of one inch (1”) meter and one and one half inch (1 ½ ”) service line for each property; or show that domestic and fire protection needs, when required, can be met with smaller service. General Facility Charges are based upon domestic requirements only. For instance, up- sizing to one inch (1”) meter will be calculated to fees for a three quarter inch (3/4”) connection. Equipment will be charged by actual equipment costs. I will not be attending your Development Review Meeting (DRC), however, feel free to call if you have further questions.
