Development Review Committee review notes for 8029 238 ST SW, DRC20160039
This review is conducted in accordance with 2015 International Fire Code and Edmonds Community
Development Code.
The following requirements may apply:
1. Fire access roads, including fire lane marking – IFC 503.2 and 503.3 and COE/FD1 Standard.
2. Premise identification – IFC 505.1 + COE/FD1 Standard.
3. Fire department key box and gate controls – IFC 506 and COE/FD1 Knox Box Standard.
4. Fire protection water supplies/fire flow requirements – IFC 507 and Appendix B.
5. Fire hydrant locations – IFC Appendix C and ECDC standard.
6. Emergency Responder Radio System (if required) – IFC 510.
7. Emergency and Standby Power System if required – IFC 604.
8. Emergency elevator operation, maintenance and fire service keys – IFC 607.
9. Automatic Sprinkler System – IFC 903.2.8, 903.2.1.6 (WA), 903.3.1.2, 903.1.2.1, individual
floor control valves and attic protection depending upon construction type.
10. Fire riser room – provide exterior access to co-located fire riser and fire alarm control panel
room.
11. Fire standpipe system – IFC 905
12. Portable fire extinguishers – IFC 906.
13. Fire alarm system – IFC 907.2.
14. Fire department connection – IFC 912.2 and COE/FD1.
15. Fire pump if required – IFC 913.
16. Fire protection footprint – required for development of pre-incident planning.
Provide under deferred submittal:
1. Fire connection permit.
2. Automatic fire sprinkler permit.
3. Fire Standpipe permit.
4. Automatic fire alarm permit.
5. Emergency radio system/Distributed antenna system (DAS) if required.
