This review is conducted in accordance with 2015 International Fire Code and Edmonds Community
Development Code. These notes are based on the limited information provided.
Provide under deferred submittal:
1. Fire connection.
2. Fire sprinkler.
3. Fire alarm.
4. Type 1 suppression system.

The following requirements apply:
1. Fire access roads, including fire lane marking – IFC 503.2 and 503.3 and COE/FD1 Standard.
2. Premise identification – IFC 505.1 + COE/FD1 Standard.
3. Fire department key box – IFC 506 and COE/FD1 Knox Box Standard.
4. Fire protection water supplies/fire flow requirements – IFC 507 and Appendix B.
5. Fire hydrant locations – IFC Appendix C and ECDC standard.
6. Automatic Sprinkler System – IFC 903.2.1.2, 903.2.7.
7. Fire riser room – provide exterior access to co-located fire riser and fire alarm control panel
room.
8. Portable fire extinguishers – IFC 906.
9. Fire alarm system – IFC 907.2.
10. Fire department connection – IFC 912.2 and COE/FD1 Standard (FH within 25’ of FDC).
11. Fire Safety during construction and demolition – IFC Chapter 33.
12. Fire protection footprint – required for development of pre-incident planning.
