DRC NOTES for– DRC20170026, 220 Railroad Ave, Edmonds – New Senior Center
After review of the documents provided, the following requirements may apply:
Fire Access – IFC 503, COE Standard.
Fire Flow requirements – IFC Appendix B. Based on Const Type and square
footage.
Fire Hydrants (number and locations, based on fire flow).
Automatic Fire Sprinklers required.
Fire Department Connection required (FDC and Hydrant to be within 50’ of each
other).
Fire Connection Permit required.
Automatic Fire Alarm required.
If Type 1 hood is installed (Cooking), deferred fire suppression permit required.
Fire Extinguishers - IFC 906
Premise Identification – IFC 505
Emergency Access Key Boxes – IFC 506
Emergency Responder Radio Coverage – IFC 510. Only required if evaluation of
building requires installation.
Co-locate riser room and fire alarm panel in a room with exterior access,
preferably on the east side of the building.
