RE: Plan Cheek #05-210 (BI,D20060545),15911,74" PI W
Driveway Slope Exceeding 1.4%
Dear Donna,
This letter is being sent in response to your request to exceed the maximurn allowed driveway
slope of 14%, dated April 19, 2007, Review of the submitted letter and site plan indicate that site
constraints prevent you from. achieving a 14% driveway slope. Rockeries and retaining wall
along the north property line are already proposed at heights of 7' and the quantity of grading is
already proposed to be around 2200cy. The roadway within the city right-of-way is proposed to
be at the maximum allowance of 12%. The upper portion of the driveway, near the garage, has
minimal slope and it is understood this is designed to allow for parking and maneuvering of
vehicles.
For these reasons, it is found reasonable to allow a maximum driveway slope of 20%. The
driveway slope shall not exceed 20% at any point. The roadway within the City right-of-way
shall not exceed 12%.
Please call the Engineering Inspection line at 425-771-0220, ext. 1326, to schedule your
driveway form. inspection, prior to paving. If you have any questions regarding these
requirements please feel free to contact Jeanie McConnell at 425-771-0220, ext. 1338.
