Driveway Waiver.pdf May 15, 2017 Mr. Greg Guillen, PE, SE CG Engineering th 250 4Avenue South, Suite 200 Edmonds, WA 98020 RE:BLD20160902,19205 Olympic View Drive Driveway Slope Exceeding 14% Dear Mr.Guillen, This letter is being sent in response to your request toexceed the maximum allowed driveway slope of 14%, dated March 6, 2017.Review of the submitted letter and site plan indicate that site constraints prevent you from obtaining a 14% driveway slope without significantly altering the topology of the buildingsite. It is understood that adjustments to the house and driveway have already been made in order to reduce the driveway slope to 19%or belowfor theentire driveway. As natural slopes can exceed 35% onsite, additional excavation would be required and would significantly increase the cost of the project. In addition, no issues were raised in the geotechnical report or in fire review. For these reasons, it is found reasonable to allow a maximum driveway slope of 19% for thesite If you have any questions regarding these requirements please feel free to contact me at Mitch.Boyd@edmondswa.gov Sincerely, MITCH BOYD STANTEC CONSULTING SERVICES cc: Streetfile BLD20160902
