BUILDING
\ RE: Sound View and Olympic View Apts BLD2007-1162 & BLD2007-1163
Dear Ms. Graf-
After
ra£
After a review of the original code that applies to both buildings referenced above (1973
UBC), we have discovered information that allows the Housing Authority of Snohomish
County to make a revision to the permit as follows.
Please find attached a copy of a page from the original 1973 UBC noting that the exterior
walls of these buildings are exempt from the fire -resistive requirements of Table 5-A due to
location of the building on the site.
Therefore, the repairs to the exterior walls meet the original code at the time the buildings
were built. Please also find the original site plans and the current site plans that
demonstrate the buildings meet the site proximity relationships required to take this
exception.
Pursuant to this discovery, we request to revise the permit as follows:
Email and attachments to Theresa Umbaugh dated April 22, 2008 no longer apply and
are withdrawn and rescinded by the owner. They consist of
1. A drawing titled "Typical Siding Repair Detail" (1 page dated April 18, 2008)
2. Laboratory tested wall assembly No. JH/WA 60-04 (7 pages dated April 22,
2008).
The "Recently Installed" siding on the drawings is acceptable as noted and
constructed.
