Email re Tree Maintenance Bond 8-12-15.pdf From:Machuga, Jen To:"C C Crispeno" Cc:McConnell, Jeanie Subject:Tree Maintenance Bond (PLN20060146) Date:Wednesday, August 12, 2015 5:08:18 PM Attachments:Crispeno Arborist Report dated 5-10-12.pdf Crispeno Tree Maintenance Bond.pdf Hi Carmen, I hope you are having a good summer! As you are aware, during construction of the short plat civil th improvements at 9812 235 Pl. SW (File No. PLN20060146), the roots of four trees were damaged. These trees were assessed by Bob Layton with International Forestry Consultants in a letter dated 5/10/12, and you posted a three-year maintenance bond in order to guarantee the monitoring of these trees (the arborist letter and bond are both attached for reference). The maintenance bond that you posted to cover the monitoring of these trees is at its expiration. In order for the city to be able to release the bond, please have an ISA- or ASCA-certified arborist reassess the subject trees consistent with Mr. Layton’s 5/10/12 assessment in order to determine whether the trees can be retained or if they have an increased risk of failure and need to be replaced. Following your arborist’s reassessment, please provide me with their written conclusions at your earliest convenience for review.
