Mr. Boyer,
I am the first city department to review your permit application for the above address and have found that the
information provided is inadequate to complete a proper plan review.
In accordance with RCW 18.08.410(7) shown below, your plan submittal must be completed by a Licensed Architect.
"This chapter shall not affect or prevent:
(7) Any person from doing design work, including preparing construction contract documents and administration of the
contract, for alteration of or repairs to a building where the project size is not more than four thousand square feet in a
building greater than four thousand square feet and when the work contemplated by the design does not affect the life
safety or structural systems of the building. The combined square footage of simultaneous projects allowed under this
subsection (7) may not exceed four thousand square feet."

Although your permit application states the tenant improvement space is 1680 square feet, the project is within the
warehouse space which you will be utilizing and the total space is greater than 4,000 square feet.
Many variable come into play with a project within a warehouse including egress paths, storage (what commodity is
stored, how its stored (height?, on racks?, on pallets? What are the pallets made of? Requirement for isle widths, etc.)),
area separation and so on.
