email to Craig Brown re addtional info.pdf Clugston, Michael Clugston, Michael From: Wednesday, June 17, 2009 4:52 PM Sent: 'DrCraig.Brown@centerfordiscovery.com' To: Additional questions regarding Center for Discovery reasonable accommodation request in Subject: Edmonds Good afternoon Dr. Brown, I have been working on the reasonable accommodation that was recently submitted for the Center of Discovery at 7511 176th Street (STF-09-11). We have not had a request like this and so it is taking a little longer than I had anticipated. That said, I have a few additional questions, the answers to which will help me better understand the impact of the facility and allow me to complete my review. 1) With a maximum of 6 residents, how many and what type of staff are anticipated to be there at any given time? Will any of the staff be live-in? 2) Is family visitation allowed/encouraged? How would that interaction typically work at the facility? 3) I know children would not be allowed outside with staff accompaniment, but would driving-age residents be allowed cars or would parents check children in/out? 4) I am not familiar with the population that you are serving but could the residents be a threat to themselves and others? I apologize for the additional questions, but as I said, I am trying to get a better feeling for what is being proposed. I am just not familiar with this type of living situation and any additional information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a good day.
