I discussed your project with our Storm Engineer to confirm that my request for impervious surface calculations was appropriate since I know that a large part of the paving was replacement of existing impervious surfaces. He agreed that the calculations are necessary. As the total impervious is well over 2000sf (the pavers alone are close to 2000sf), it is important that we know where the undetained water is going so we can be sure that there are no problems in the future. I recall that when I spoke to the owner once on site and another time in our office I did explain that these calculations as well as drainage information would be required on his site plan. The owner had also mentioned that a drainage system had been placed under the pavers in the backyard patio area. This also should be shown on the site plan; a detail of the system and lines showing where the drainage is being diverted. We had discussed adding a drywell in the front yard as well. If that has been added, please show on the site plan and show what being drained into it. Please also indicate on the site plan the location of any catch basins in front of the property. If you have any further questions, please let me know. Thank you, JoAnne Zulauf -----Original Message----- From: Zulauf, JoAnne Sent: Thursday, February 12, 2009 9:39 AM To: 'roger@pattenarch.com' Subject: Eng Comments Zubair Please see attached comments; JoAnne Zulauf Engineering Technician City of Edmonds (425) 771-0220 x1324 zulauf@ci.edmonds.wa.us
