I will add a note on the plans that grab bars will be added to the restroom in the new space, and will be verified for compliance by the building inspector. (This will include horizontal bars behind and beside the toilet as well as a vertical bar on the side wall next to the toilet.) As for the $1500 expense, I see that this is at least 20% of the overall construction valuation that you recently provided ($8800 less the $1500 for the overhead door that is not included, comes to $7300) and thus satisfies item 11. 1 should be signed off today, and once Fire signs off, Elyssa will be contacted to pick up the permit. Her husband Danny is a professional carpenter and to my visual inspection has completed the work correctly. I'm willing to document the work for the record. This would be around $1500 of work if done at market rate. From what I see the rest of the project meets accessibility code. Will an email suffice for documentation of this element? 9 Timothy L Sadler AIA 809 Laurel Way Edmonds WA 98020 M (206) 992-6198 From: Bjorback, Leif <leif.biorback@edmondswa.gov> Sent: Wednesday, December 12, 2018 19:16 To: 'Elyssa Boyd' Cc: Timothy Sadler Subject: RE: Plan review for BLD2018-1319 Elyssa, Whether this item gets addressed by you or Tim does not matter. If you can put together the list of upgraded features and their respective costs I can take a look at it. Alternatively, I know it's not my business, but couldn't you show your landlord that your project is viable and down to the last details, and likely to be permitted soon? Is there anything I can do to push this along to get it signed off. I need this signed off this week or I may loose my lease.
