Thanks Jeanie for your quick response. Please consider the following email as a correction response
to your verbal requests.
"9921 Water Street Water Issues on the surface and in the foundation excavation hole as well as
continued monitoring while the foundation is being built.....to the actual drainage pipes/gravel
surrounds being installed".
At the NW corner of the site, there has been an underground "previous/existing" pipe with constant
drainage. I have a small trench at the pipe that allows me to monitor the amount of water coming from
the pipe. I have also installed an "inflatable" rubber balloon into this pipe to limit the drainage, though
water still seeps out and around this obstruction. Once water builds up to an overflow point, I pump
the water up to our foundation hole. Once the foundation is done, we will address this pipe and water
while the backfilling is done. We also intend to place a retaining wall at the west property line, (3' tall
since it is in the setback) and will be providing drainage pipes and gravel to pick up ground water at
that point. We will be taking those pipes to the south to our approved outfall.
The water within our excavation hole, will be pumped up to the sediment/holding ponds that we have
built on the SE corner of the site. We anticipate some water will leech into the soil and additional
water that will need to be removed will be done by pumping that water out to a lawn area on our NE
corner of the site. This pumping will be closely monitored since it will have to be done by
someone, and not left alone.
I am anticipating that weather conditions are getting warmer (global warming to the rescue) as spring
is upon us. Due to silt concerns, I do not plan on sending/pumping any water into the city's storm
drain system.
Once the foundation is done and backfilled, we should not be experiencing surface water that creates
problems for our neighbor and the city.
Please let me know your thoughts on this correction letter.
Thanks
Ron Johnson

Hi Jeanie....just talked to Marie about this permit....it appears that it is not signed off. Pat had
inspected it on March 9, when I had called in for the building dept. inspection. Marie said that
engineering had to sign off also. Was there anything yet to do for this? Marie did not see a
correction.
Thanks
Ron Johnson
