We have received and reviewed the plan review comments regarding the project at 410 2"d Ave. N, Plan Check Number
BLD2015-1239. Below are the corresponding responses to the correction notice we received dated November 3, 2015.
Corrections:
1.-5. Architect will respond.
6. The orientation of the'North Arrow' on sheets S2.1 and S2.2 was updated to coincide with the'Project North' as
indicated in the 'architectural' plans.
7. The typical 18" -wide by 8" -deep concrete footing with 8" -inch stem wall as indicated in detail 6/S3.1 has sufficient
strength to distribute the point load from the glulam columns above over a sufficient width. Please see the attached
supporting calculation.
8. The roof diaphragm over the 'living/di ning/kitchen' area is designed as an'open-front structure' where the full
lateral load is cantilevered back to the west wall and the perpendicular walls under the continuous glulam beams are
used to resist torsion. Please see the attached supporting calculations justifying the design and showing that the
cantilevered diaphragm deflection is tolerable.
We trust this addresses all the structural concerns. Please give us a call if you have any further questions. Thank you.
Sincerely,
