During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts and Standard Details referred to in these
comments can be accessed at our website: www.edmondswa.gov by choosing Permit Assistance:
1. Edmonds Community Development Code Chapter 18.30 states that stormwater mitigation
is required for the site if impervious surface installed after 1977 totals over 2000 sf. The
proposed driveway, 826 sf, and the 2008 addition, 1230 sf, combined exceed 2000sf.
Please review Stormwater Handout #E72 attached for instructions on how to meet the
requirements of this code.
2. Please submit a scaled plan including property lines, specific location of house. Indicate
2008 addition, existing pre 1977 portion of house Example attached.
3. The L & I site shows your contractors license as inactive. A active contractor’s license is
required to perform any work in the right of way. In this case, the driveway cut and the
portion of driveway located between the property line and the road.
