1) December 18, 2019 — Drive surface has been revised to a patio surface. Clearly label north
end of existing driveway so it is clear that vehicles cannot enter onto the patio area. In
addition, show landscaping — vegetation, bark or mulch — on the sloped area to the west of
the patio.
9/25/2019 comment - It is apparent upon review of the most recently submitted site plan, that
the block retaining wall supporting the driving surface to the west and north of the accessory
structure is supporting a structural surcharge from the vehicular surface, as well as being
partially within the special flood zone area. Please provide structural calculations and a
construction design stamped and signed by a Washington state licensed professional for review
by the City. The design must address the requirements of chapter 16 of the IBC for both the
vehicular surcharge as well as flood resistant construction.
