Subject: RTU —1 Return Air Filters
Dan,
This letter is in response to the City of Edmonds TCCA letter requesting a memo from us regarding
the proposed temporaryfilter over the return above Summit Cardiology.
Excerpt from City of Edmonds TCO letter dated February S, 2008 below,
2. We did not receive the leiter from the Mechanical Engineer (as discussed at the meeting)
proposing a filter over the rctutj air intake to the HVAC unite located in the Slh=it Cardiology
suite that serve areas outside of that suite, including verification that the proposed fi Iter will not
affect the operation of the units.
I believe it is in the best interest of all occupants of the facility that this return air opening be
covered with a 30% pleated throw away filter over the openings. The unit is designed to operate
as a varying system and this added static pressure will not likely affect the operation of the RTU -
1. Upon completion of Summit Cardiology, the mechanical contractor shall remove the filters and
balance the system according to the specifications.
Thank you for your time. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dandy Hinton, P.SJ
