Project: Swedish Plumbing
Project Address: 21601 76tb Ave W
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications are needed. Reviews by other divisions, such as Planning and Building, may result in
additional comments. Please submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents with a written response to
each of the items below to a permit coordinator.
Resubmittals can be made at the Development Services Department on the 2nd floor of City Hall. Permit
Center hours are M, T, Th & F from 8am-4:30pm and on Wednesdays from 8:30am-12pm.
City of Edmonds handouts, standard details and development code can be referenced on the City website.
Utility Engineer Comments:
1. Delete notes 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 and references to a vault. Vault is needed for the meter that is
being installed by the City not the RPBA. The RPBA that will be installed as part of this
submittal needs a large hot box.
2. Revise note 11 to read: "A MINIMUM 2 FEET OF LEVEL UNOBSTRUCTED AREA IS
REQUIRED AROUND RPBA PAD."
3. Add note to plans stating that this work needs to be per COE standard plans. Make sure that all
applicable standard details are referenced in these plans.
4. Include standard details that need/are to be referenced in the plans as part of this plan set.
5. Draw concrete pad to scale and supply dimensions and stationing/offset of pad along with make
and model of hot box to be used. This will help with coordinating location in relation to the City
installed vault and so that pad is sized properly per manufacturer recommendations and its impact
to the area be accurately verified prior to beginning construction and minimize conflicts. (Once
you have this, coordinate with hospital staff to ensure that trees and shrub removals are
minimized. There were rhododendrons and trees in the vicinity that they wanted saved that
currently do not show on the plans.)
6. Show site contours to ensure that the RPBA is not encroaching on the steep slope down to the
main building.
7. Sensor is not required for RBPA. Delete references.

8. Since there is a large grade differential onsite, a profile will need to be provided to see the location
of the high point in the piping for the new service and to ensure minimum pipe cover is achieved
and to verify that vertical trust blocking is not required.
9. Add vertical blocking as needed.
10. Hotbox and pipe clearances from box shall be per WA-162 not 160B.
11. All MJ fittings shall be RJ.
12. Show location of where power is coming from along with electrical conduit and line that will be
required to power the heater in the hot box. Electrical needs will be dictated by the size of box
needed.
13. Give benchmark dimensions/stations so that stationing to all bends and fittings can be tied down
and allow the contractor to lay out the system and mitigate conflicts with existing vegetation.
14. Bend at sta 3+00.26 shows a 2.5 degree bend. It looks more like a 11.25. Bend at STA 2+75.26
shows a 22.5 degree bend. It looks more like a 45. Revise as appropriate.
15. Ensure that next submittal is to scale. Prints provided were not to scale.
