The Engineering Division was called to the site last week for a trash enclosure inspection. While on
site it was noted that the required frontage improvements along 219th St SW were already
constructed and no form inspections had been completed by the prior to pour. After inspecting the
improvements it was confirmed that they were not constructed consistent with the approved plans
and did not meet ADA standards. In addition, it was noted that the placement of pervious pavement
was also not consistent with the approved plans. Please address the following:
1. Remove and replace curb ramp on west side of driveway approach on 219th. The curb ramp is
not consistent with approved plans nor ADA requirements and currently directs pedestrians into
2191h St SW. A form inspection shall be completed by the City Engineering Division prior to
re -pouring the ramp.
2. The remaining frontage improvements along 219th St SW (west of the driveway curb ramp) also
do not comply with ADA standards and were not built consistent with the approved plans. As
the improvements are on private property and not otherwise seen as a safety issue, the City will
allow the improvements to remain as constructed as long as the same approval is given by the
property owner, Mastgech, LLC. Please provide confirmation to the City, in writing, of the
Mastgech group acceptance.
3. Pervious pavement areas were constructed in the lower parking lot, but not in locations
consistent with the approved plans. Provide confirmation that the square footage of pervious
pavement constructed is consistent with the approved plans. This can be documented on the
project asbuilt.
The Engineering Division has not yet been requested to perform a final inspection at the site,
so this correction notice is not all inclusive. Additional corrections may be identified once a
final project inspection is completed.
