The comments provided below are based upon review of the application and documents
submitted for the subject application. Additional information is requested from the applicant
at this time. Please ask the applicant to respond to the following.
1. Please provide a plan to scale, 1:20 is preferred.
2. Include the number of parking stalls required for the convenience store and the
number of stalls for the UHaul trucks that you plan to keep on the lot. Stalls shall be
shown to scale. Regular parking stalls for private vehicles are 8 '/2 ft x 16 '/2 ft and the
truck stalls will have to be sized large enough to fit the trucks you plan to rent out. A
stall 9 ft x 18 ft would be adequate for a 17ft UHaul truck for example.
3. Show the area of the lot that is gravel. Include dimensions.
4. The current plan labels 238th St SW at 103rd, please revise.
5. On the current plan it is difficult to tell if truck parking will be on the area that is
currently gravel. Trucks and other vehicles are only allowed to be parked on
pavement in striped stalls. Indicate on the plan any gravel area that will be paved for
this project. Include dimensions.
6. If paving, please note that paving of an area over 2000 sf will require stormwater
management.
7. Paving and striping requires a Parking Lot permit from the Building division.
