This letter outlines the revisions and corrections made per your engineering plan review comments dated June 7,
2016. Below is a list of the comment response documents addressing your comments and request:
SITE PLAN
1) As changes are being made to the plan sheets, please make sure all plans (i.e. Site Plan, Civils,
Architecturals) are revised to be consistent with the changes.

GENERAL
1) Change `BLDG Permit # to `BLD Permit # BLD20160348' (make this change to all plan
sheets). _

2) Please provide a haul route (this comment is specific to this application due to the location of the site).
Haul route added to Traffic Control Plan (new Sheet 5).
3) Please provide a traffic control plan (this comment is specific to this application due to the location of
the site).
Traffic Control Plan (sheet 5) has been added to the plan set.
4) Add a note that if the sidewalk does not meet ADA standards, the sidewalk will need to be replaced.
ADA compliant sidewalk note added to sheet 1.
SEWER
1) The side surer cannot be approved until an easement is in place that allows for the private sewer
line to cross through the west property-. Please provide a copy- of the recorded sewer easement.
Note added to plan that sewer easement prior to approval.
WATER
1) The new 1" water service line has been installed (from the stain to the meter) and is located at the
southwest corner of the subject site. Please revise the plans to reflect this.

STORM
Per Leif Helleren, the stormwater management system is changing from the proposed detention
system to an infiltration system. Therefore, a review on the proposed stormwater management
system was not completed at this time.
1) Provide infiltration rates per handout #E72D, the City of Edmonds Code, and Appendix C
in the Stormwater Supplement. Make sure that the infiltration tests are taken at the depth
that the infiltration and drywells will be placed.
See supplemental infiltration rate memo by geotechnical engineer with recommended 2 in/hr
design rate (under separate cover).
2) Make sure the Geotechnical Engineer addresses in his report the stability of the slope in
relation to the infiltration.
See supplemental geotechnical report with slope stability evaluation (under separate cover).
3) Provide a cross section detail of the infiltration system and driveway.
s There must be a minimum of 2' of cover over pipes under drivable surfaces.
There must be a minimum of 1' of cover over the infiltration trench.
Cross section of infiltration system shown on sheet 2, includes 2 ft. minimum cover callout.
4) Show an observation well on the infiltration system.
Observation well added on infiltration system detail shown on sheet 2.
i) All connections to an infiltration system shall connect to a catch basin and then discharge
to the infiltration system. This is to allow for settlement of debris prior to stormwater
discharging to the infiltration system.
Upstream settlement catch basin added to plans.
6) Show all runoff from the driveway discharging to the stormwater management system.
Collection catch basin placed in driveway to collect runoff from proposed driveway, flow
arrows added to sheet 1.
7) Show the overflow path of the infiltration system.
Note and overflow plat from the infiltration system added to sheet 1..
8) Show where the footing drains will discharge to for the home and retaining walls. If the
footing drains will discharge to a drywell, make sure that the Geotechnical Engineer
addresses the location and the impacts it will or won't have on the slope.

9) Update the storm drainage notes as needed.

1) Please show all proposed dry utilities (gas, phone, cable, etc.) on the plans so that utility- separation
can be verified. There should be a minimum of 3' horizontal separation from the dry utilities and
the wet utilities (water, sewer, and storm).

1) If it is not shown, please show all neighboring structures and trees to the subject site. This is to verify
that proper precautions are being taken to ensure no damage or approval of removal is obtained for
structures or trees on sites adjacent to the construction.
A note to protect existing trees on neighboring property was added to sheet 3.
2) Revise the word 'nay' to `May' in note 2 under the TESL Notes.
