("DPM"), of the residentialproperty located at 7511176 1h Street SW, Edmonds, WA 98026 (the "Premises"). The intended use of the Premises is as a staffed residential home for up to a maximum of six (6) children who are in need of assistance with eating disorders. The prototypical resident of the Premises would be an anorexic or bulimic girl between the ages of 11 and 17, who is an outstanding student and is from an upper middle class family. The normal length of stay for the child would be between 30 and 60 days. The children would be under 24 hour supervision and would not be allowed outside the facility without staff accompaniment. Please accept this letter as our formal request for a "reasonable accommodation," pursuant to ECDC Chapter 17.05, which chapter describes the Reasonable Accommodations Process. We were previously advised by you that the Edmonds City Attorney had determined our proposed staffed residential home should be treated similar to an adult family home for purposes of this Chapter. Attached please find a list of the Adjacent Property Owners, who reside within 300 feet of the Premises. It is our understanding that your office will distribute this letter to these Adjacent Property Owners to inform them of our intended use of the property in question. You have also informed us that a public hearing would not be required. Thank you for your assistance with this matter. L erely yours, Craig r wn, Ph.D. President Exhibit 1 STF-09-11
