Dear Ken,
Since this is not the best time of year to plant new trees, we will grant you an extension until this fall
to plant the two replacement trees. Your deadline is now November 30, 2015. Please note,
however, that we will not be able to issue a certificate of occupancy for the house until the
replacement trees have been planted. I reviewed the list of trees you sent (City of Lynnwood’s
recommended small tree planting list), and determined that one of the trees from this list will be
acceptable. Please keep in mind that the Notice of Violation requires the replacement trees to be a
minimum of three inches in caliper and planted within the general vicinity of Trees #5 through 8.
Also, you mentioned the need to extend your building permit. I would suggest contacting a Permit
Coordinator at (425) 771-0220 to enquire about the extension process and to determine if an
extension would be possible for your project.
Sincerely,
Jen
