RE: Review comments for required trash enclosure
BLD20151454/55 — Factory Direct Tire garage/carport, 22617 76th Ave. W
The proposed location of the new garage structure eliminates the current location of the garbage
and recycle containers for the business. The indication of a fenced area, showing a new spot for
the containers, is shown by the corner of the existing building. This area is not sized correctly
(too small) and is not easily accessible, especially for the level of garbage service this business
currently has.
The present size of garbage container alone is 6 -yard capacity and is a stationary container that
needs the service truck to approach straight -on and lift directly into the truck. This cannot be
accomplished at the proposed location, plus there is a parking space indicated in front of that
fenced area. There cannot be any blockage to the approach or accessibility to the enclosure.
A suitable trash enclosure needs to be proposed and resubmitted. As a start, take measurements
of the 2 containers as they currently sit for servicing, adding a minimum of one foot on each side
of each container to produce a minimum width for an enclosure. That measurement of width
will establish a basic footprint to help site the enclosure.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I can review sketches of ideas via email if that
works for you or meet onsite for your convenience.
