SUBJ: Inspector Comments for 9213 224th Street SW, Edmonds, WA
Cory:
The purpose of this letter is to the inspector's comments regarding the nailing of the
exterior sheathing.
Item (1). I performed a visual inspection of the exterior shear walls at the above address
and found that at certain places the exterior sheathing nailing was not flush with the
outside surface of the sheathing. The nails had penetrated the sheathing to a depth of
approximately 1/8" to 1/4".
Add flush nailing to the bottom plate of the doublet the top plate at the kitchen and at the
top of the panel seams. Do the same at the Den/Guest room as well.
Item (2). Nail the double 2x6s at the adjacent panel edges with 2-1 Od at 18" on center.
If there are any questions about this report or if I can be of any further assistance, please
feel free to call me at the above number between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday — Friday. I
look forward to working with you in the future.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Pitzer, PE
