We have documented our observations in daily field reports that have been distributed to the design and construction team. Copies can be provided upon request. AESI completed a "Subsurface Exploration, Geologic Hazard, and Geotechnical Engineering Report" for the project on February 20, 2013. Construction Monitoring Construction monitoring for the animal hospital started September 11, 2014 with site visits completed on a part-time basis. Our last site visit for the referenced work was completed on January 9, 2015. Representatives from AESI made seven site visits for the work being done for the animal hospital and associated improvements. Our construction monitoring observations and testing included: foundation subgrades for the animal hospital building and elevator pit; temporary excavation observations; dewatering observations; and utility trench backfill and pavement testing. Although soldier pile shoring was shown on the project plans, the temporary excavation for the building was achieved with a combination of sloped cuts and low ecology block walls.
