FIRE COMMENT NOTES:
Be aware of Fire Lane Standards including but not limited to turning radii, required height and lane width.
Show proposed turn around on building plan submittal
Over head power appears to be underground on Highway 99 and needs to be underground on 236thSt SW or over 13’6” above fire lane entrance on 236th St SW
Location of sprinkler riser room. Riser room will have an outside entrance. Call out on building plans
Location of FDC will be approved by South County Fire and be within 50 feet of a Fire Hydrant. Call out on building plans
Testing will need to be performed at site prior to construction and during construction to determine the need for a DAS (Distributive Antennae System)
Separate permits for Fire alarm, DAS and for fire sprinklers
Standpipe per IFC section 3313 completed to the floor below the next modular.
Fire determines height for high rise by IFC definition “occupied floor located more than 75’ above the lowest level of fire department vehicle access.”
Elevators are a required accessible means of egress per IFC 1009.4 and standby/emergency power per IFC 604. “Tapping ahead of the main” is not an acceptable practice in South Snohomish
County Fire and Rescue response area. Generators need to be UL approved.
Fire flow appears to be 2,375 GPM for a 2 hour duration (This is with sprinkler deduction at 75%) and 3 hydrants are needed to be within 225 feet of and/or located on project site.
Any vaults or underground retention will need to meet or exceed HS20 standards for a point load of 75,000 #
