Hi Tom,
The Building plans examiner has determined that due to the number of fixtures, the water meter needs to be upsized to a 1”.
The additional cost of going from a ¾” meter to a 1” meter are the meter cost $2970 and the upgrade to the higher connection fee $12,624 less the current connection $5050 for a total
connection fee of $7574.
So the total cost will be $10,544.
There are two options at this point:
1—I can redline the plans to show the new meter requirement and add the fees to the permit—and the permit will then be ready to issue, or
2—You can contact the plans examiner, Eric Carter, and discuss how the fixtures can be reduced so that the ¾” meter can be retained.
