Subject: Townhome plan questions
Hello,
Your preliminary plan for a4/5/unit townhome project on Edmonds Way posed some questions for city staff. I can answer those pertaining to garbage and recycle collection for the property.
Question 2 regarding getting curbside pickup: Unfortunately the city can no longer allow new development along SR 104 to have curbside waste collection service. There are too many
safety issues and curbside is only provided currently to any existing single-family residents.
Question 3 and 4 regarding truck turnaround requirements: In order for waste collection to occur there must be adequate provision to have trucks access the property without any backing
onto or out of the property. The ideal way to accomplish this safely is with a turnaround on site. I have attached the diagrams showing the minimums required for this.
