This engineering report presents the results of ongoing geotechlyoal inspections
of the C.P. Granger Construction project (now single family residence) at 770 Maple
Street, Edmonds, Washington.

This engineer has provided on -site geotechnlcat inspections for the new single
family resigence project at 770 Maple Street.
As previously discussed, temporary ecology block shoring was required in the
southeast corner of the project (see photographs).
This engineer vertfled the base block ernbedmeM and proper inetallation of the
ecology blocks.
Foundation footings were properly installed on dense, native subgrade soils.
Subsequently, reinforced concrete stem wall1r, were completed in aeootdence with this
engin"r's on -site Inspections and City of Edmonds inspections.
This engineer understands that neighbor complaints have been made
regarding "water washing out of the new rockery'.

This engineer's inspection on November 20, 2000, verified proper construction
methods, drainage controls and erosion control protection in ac mdance with the
recommendations of the original gootechnical report. City of Edmonds approved
plans, and this engineer's recommendations.
No detrimental or "washing out" conditions were observed that would be
considered geotechnieally detrimental.
Based on the findings of this engineer's on -going geotechnical inspections, the
original and supplemental geotechnlcal reports, And experience with similar projects,
the following are concluded and recommended
• Work should continue on the new residence at 770 Maple Street.
This engineer to provide continuing on -site inspection regarding drainage
controls, rockery placement, improved rookery extensions, and overall she
grading.
• If desired, this engineer would be happy to meet City of Edmonds inspectors on -
site to resolve any outstanding Issues.
