Gold Landscape revisions.doc March 14, 2012 Mr. Mike Gold th 15225 14 Court SE Mill Creek, WA 98012 Mr. Mike Todd – American West Coast Construction th 15322 39 Ave. NE Marysville, WA 98270 Subject: BLD2010-0314 - Review of alternate landscaping thnd As noted in my letter, dated Feb 24, the occupancy approval of the residence at 7510 162 St. SW was given pending the peer review of the revised landscaping and subsequent modifications. The landscaping installed on the site is significantly different from the originally approved landscape plan prepared by The Jay Group. Mr. Todd provided as built plans and the summary nd report by Nelson Geotechnical dated Feb 22. These documents were peer reviewed by the City’s consultant Landau Associates. A copy of their review is attached. In the conclusion of the Landau review, they recommend that the original landscape design architect review the as built conditions, since the original geotechnical approvals had been based upon that design. I agree with this determination as being consistent with the original permit approval and the Edmonds earth subsidence and landslide hazard provision in ECDC 19.10. th In my Feb 24 letter I stated that “If items requiring correction or modification are necessitated by the review these will need to be completed prior to the final certificate of occupancy.” At this time I ask that you have the landscape architect provide his review and comments on the changes to his original design. Please provide a copy of the architect’s comments and any recommendations.
