1
In accordance with Edmonds Community Development Code 20.05.010, the proposed project at the
Goodwill Edmonds store (10117 Edmonds Way, Edmonds, WA 98020 — Parcel #00610600300502) meets
the criteria in the following way:
In keeping with the City of Edmonds Comprehensive Plan, the new temporary accessory structure is to
be commercially oriented continuing with the Community Commercial designation of that specific area.
The proposed structure, within the Neighborhood Business (BN) zone has been chosen and designed
specifically to meet zoning codes — Edmonds City Code and Community Development Code (Title 19), as
well as, applicable building codes. The use of the proposed structure falls within the commercial aspect
as it will be an accessory structure to an already operating retail store.
The pre -fabricated tent structure will stylistically be consistent with the adjacent existing structure's
boxy nature. It will also be consistent with the existing building's color scheme. The ease and rapidity of
its construction, and its minimal aesthetic, will not have any detrimental impacts to the public health,
safety and welfare, or to nearby private properties.
A transferable Conditional Use Permit is requested to be transferred to any future property owner(s), as
long as, the conditions of the approval are still met.
Sincerely,
James Amaya

The proposed pre -fabricated tent meets the demands of Goodwill's growing needs. This specific type of
structure requires minimal construction, in turn, it minimally effects the environment. The style of the
new structure will be consistent with the existing adjacent architecture and follow all requirements of
the zoning district and its ordinances (in accordance with ECDC 20.05.010, and all other required codes).
