During review of the plans and documents for the above noted project, it was found that the
following
information, clarifications or changes are needed. Provide written responses to each comment

and where changes can be found on the plans. Please resubmit to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator.
1.The plans submitted for the new permit do not include the proposed master bedroom revision for
the south dwelling unit. Please submit a new revised sheet 3, stamped by your design
professional of record.
The following items are still outstanding from past field corrections. They will not hold up issuance
of this permit, but must be adequately resolved/addressed before the framing inspection:
2.Geotechnical Special Inspection Reports: We are still awaiting special inspection reports for
grading, temporary shoring, placement of fill and compaction from Earth Consultants. As
discussed at the counter previously, Earth Consultants could provide one letter summarizing all
soil special inspections and also make this their final letter for the project.
3.Structural Special Inspection Reports:
a.As noted in my e-mail below to you on July 15, 2008 we are still awaiting the
following:
i.
In reviewing the letter dated 4/10/07 from SDA (submitted 7/9/08), the City has not
approved items 1 and 2 noted in the letter. Please have SDA inspect these items
and provide a letter approving construction. Where missing holdowns must be
retrofitted, provide special inspection report for installation. With regards to the last
statement in the letter, the structural engineer of record shall provide a letter that all
structural discrepancies have been addressed and the structure complies with the
revised structural plans.
b.We are also still waiting for the special inspection report for spray-applied
fireproofing patching for framing changes made after 2/15/07.
4.Shop Drawings: We are still awaiting shop drawings for prefab. I-joists and roof trusses, open
web steel joists/girders, and structural steel fabrication. Mr. Johnson was going to make 2
copies and submit them to the City.
